Rush finale Premier League, in palio ancora quattro posti Champions

Titolo assegnato con quattro turni d'anticipo, retrocessioni già decretate da tempo. In Premier League restano da emettere ancora pochissimi verdetti: alla prossima Champions League parteciperanno ben cinque squadre inglesi (sei se Manchester United o Tottenham dovessero vincere l'Europa League): in questo momento gli altri posti sono riservati per l'Arsenal, il Manchester City, il Chelsea e il Newcastle, mentre il Nottingham Forest e l'Aston Villa giocherebbero rispettivamente l'Europa League e la Conference League. Un rush finale entusiasmante visto che ci sono ben cinque formazioni in appena cinque punti a contendersi tre posti.

Le due coppe nazionali, FA Cup e Carabao Cup, danno diritto rispettivamente a un posto in Europa League e uno in Conference. A far saltare il banco potrebbe essere il Crystal Palace, finalista contro il City, mentre il Newcastle si è assicurato almeno l'accesso alla Conference trionfando nella Coppa di Lega. Se a vincere l'FA Cup fosse la squadra di Guardiola, il posto in Conference spetterebbe all'ottava (attualmente il Bournemouth).
